Keeping Under 300 Calories

As moms, we know that while we try to provide healthy meal choices for our kids, we will inevitably visit McDonald's at some point. Perhaps you take them for the playground so they can release some energy. However, if you're like me, then you grow tired of heavy, greasy meals and sugary beverages. There are some low-calorie, healthier options to choose from, and keeping it under 300 calories.

Fruit & Maple Oatmeal
Premium Southwest Salad (no dressing)
6-Piece Chicken McNuggets (no sauce)
Grilled Chicken Ranch Snack Wrap
Mango Pineapple Smoothie (medium)
Strawberry Banana Smoothie (medium)
Hamburger (add 50 cal. for cheese)
Caramel Mocha (nonfat, medium)
Fruit & Walnuts
Iced Coffee (no syrups, medium)
Fruit 'N Yogurt Parfait
Chocolate Milk (fat free)
Regular Milk (1%)
Latte (nonfat, no syrups, small)
Iced Latte (nonfat, no syrups, medium)
Side Salad (no dressing)
Apple Slices
Diet Soda & Premium Roast Coffee

While it is not an extensive list, it is possible to make healthy choices when visiting McDonald's. My favorites, especially in the summertime, are the smoothies. They are filling and great for hot days!
