When is it time to do some pruning of the trees and bushes in your yard? Well, that depends on what you have and when it blooms. Here's a great rule of thumb when determining what and when to prune.
Trees and bushes that bloom prior to May:
Wait until blooming has completed before pruning because they are still on last year's growing cycle.
Trees and bushes that bloom after May:
It's okay to prune in late winter to get ready for this year's growing cycle.
